I have the Denon AVR 1603 Service Manual. Those are the schematics I am working from. Shoudl I be lookign at something different?

mich hat das Schicksal jetzt auch ereilt, mein 1803 ist putt. Selbes Fehlerbild: Einschalten, Klick, rot blinken, nix mehr!

Kann mir jemand ein Schaltbild zur Verfügung stellen :hello2: , evtl. mit ServiceManual, wie man nach dem Austausch den Ruhestrom einstellt.

Dort sind weiße kleine Potis mit einem Meßpunkt daneben. Denke, damit wird das was...

Well I found another little clue. One of the resistors was burned black.. Completely destroyed. I have uploaded some pictures.

Hi Dave,
have U checked the other Transistors Q103FL & Q104FL and the diode D101?
I think U have to solder them out before U can check. What is the state of the receiver after replacement of Q101/2FL? Still in protection mode?

I found out that there is a shortcut in my Q101FL. Nothing more. I ordered a new one and let me surprise (btw my Q101FL is a 2SD2390)

Yes after I replaced the two large transistors it woudl still enter Protection mode... I changed that burnt reistor out... still enters protect mode..... I tried to check of of the other transitors but I think I wreecked it from too much heat.( I do not own a very hi tech solder iron ).. So I am goin to replace both of them. might as well do the diode.. by the time I am done with this thing i will have rebuilt the FL circuit .

You could open the FL amp circuit completely and see if the amp starts up.

I hope that is all that is involved cause if it wrecked some of the other ic's some how then I am, just goin to toss it in the trash

I am curious how this happened to your amp.. did the wires short out somewhere to the speakers.. or was it just run long and hard.

you mean that little potentiometer/trimmer beside the test point? and to set it I just follow the instructions in the manual....page 9 ????
